Spread your wings...

One of our neighbors gathers caterpillars from milkweed and contains them in a jar until they form cristalis's (spelling???) and then turn into butterflies. This year Cord was in the right place at the right time giving his winning smile and she gave one to him to watch transform into a beautiful butterfly. Once the cristalis turns black you're supposed to take it out of the jar and let it hang so it can do it's thing. So we woke up Sunday morning and it was black and we got all excited, went to church and when we came back it had already turned into a butterfly. We missed the whole miracle!!! I was soooo sad. But here are the pictures before church, and then after church! Less than a 3 hour process!

Darn you didn't get to see it. It sure is a beautiful butterfly.

How fun! I bet the boys loved it! We are planning on coming up this weekend...what do you want me to bring? Also, did you talk to Andrea about the thing in St. George?
